Renowned overclocker SafeDisk has set a new record for the fastest DDR5 memory overclock on the AM5 platform, achieving an impressive DDR5-10600 speed. Using an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G APU on an ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E GENE motherboard, SafeDisk managed to push past the previous record of DDR5-10346 set just days prior.
The key to this new record was the use of G.Skill Trident Z5 memory sticks running at stock 7800 MT/s speeds paired with the high-end X670E platform. No adjustments were made to the base clock, with validation confirming the memory clock achieved. SafeDisk noted the overclocking process was surprisingly easy thanks to AMD’s latest AGESA firmware.
