11th Gen Intel Core: Unmatched Overclocking, Game Performance
The 11th Gen Intel® Core™ S-series desktop processors (code-named “Rocket Lake-S”) launched worldwide today, led by the flagship Intel® Core™ i9-11900K. Reaching speeds of up to 5.3GHz with Intel® Thermal Velocity Boost1, the Intel Core i9-11900K delivers even more performance to gamers and PC enthusiasts.
The Intel’s 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S desktop processors will be officially released at the end of this month. AnandTech managed to buy one of those retail Core i7-11700K processors, which was being sold by Mindfactory. And they posted the full review of Core i7-11700K. The upcoming Intel 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S desktop processors will be officially available for pre-order on March 16th next month. On that day Intel will have a product announcement for the 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S CPUs. While the release date and reviews will be available on March 30th, two weeks after announcement.
The upcoming Intel Core i5-11400Rocket Lake-S CPU is tested at Geekbench benchmark. According to the score, Intel Core i5-11400 is about 34% faster than its predecessor i5-10400 in singe-core benchmark. i5-11400 offers 6-cores will 12-threads, which is the same configuration as Comet Lake i5-10400.
According to latest rumors on HKEPC, the upcoming Intel Rocket Lake-S desktop processors will be officially released on March 15th, 2021. This seems several weeks early than previous rumored release date. Intel has already launched 500 series motherboards (Can be pre-order here) with full support for Rocket Lake-S CPUs and PCI Gen4 for GPU and fast NVMe storage.
The upcoming Intel Core i9-11900K now breaks 1900 points in Geekbench single-core benchmark, it’s 35% higher than its predecessor i9-10900K. With 8-cores and 16-threads, it is also able to match the 20-thread 10900K CPU in the multi-core benchmark.
The flagship Intel Core i9-11900K 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S desktop processor now finally debuts on PassMark. According to PassMark, the CPU scored 3,764 points in CPU Mark (single-thread performance), which is 7% faster than Ryzen 7 5800X based on Zen3 architecture.
The upcoming Intel Rocket Lake-S desktop processors are expected to be released in March. The Intel Core i5-11400 6-core Rocket Lake-S CPU has already shows up at Geekbench. According to Geekbench, i5-11400 has base clock of 2.6 GHz and 4.4 GHz turbo.
