At CES 2021, Intel will announce new Z590, B560, H510 motherboards ahead of Rocket Lake-S desktop processors launch event. Recently, a sample of Intel Core i9-11900 has been tested on upcoming B560 motherboard.
According to latest rumors, Intel may announce upcoming Rocket Lake-S 11th Gen desktop processors in January. In several weeks ago, Intel confirmed that Rocket Lake-S processor will be launched in March 2021, seems Intel has moved up the release date for Rocket Lake-S processors.
The upcoming Intel’s flagship Rocket Lake-S desktop processor Core i9-11900K will be officially announced in early 2021. Several days ago, this i9-11900K processor has already leaked at Ashes of the Singularity benchmark website.
According to Intel, at upcoming CES 2021, Intel will have two news conferences on January 11th. Similar as AMD, Intel may take something about upcoming Rocket Lake-S desktop processor and Tiger Lake-H high-end mobile processor. Stay tuned for more info.
In the today’s MSI press release, MSI accidently leaked the upcoming Intel’s 8-core & 16-thread Rocket Lake-S desktop processor. As we already know, this desktop processor is upcoming Intel Core i9-11900K. The leaked screenshot shows this processor has a 4.3 GHz clock speed, with a base clock speed at 3.4 GHz. GPU benchmark website Ashes of the Singularity shows the Intel Core i9-11900K in a GPU benchmark result. The Core i9-11900K will be an 8-core and 16-thread processor, it will use a new Cypress Cove core architecture.
The upcoming Intel Rocket Lake-S CPU will be launched in the first quarter of 2021. Recently, an Rocket Lake-S CPU with 8-core & 16-thread has spotted at the Geekbench website. With a single-core score of 1645 points, this Rocket Lake-S CPU (Core i7-11700K ?) would have similar singe-core score as Ryzen 7 5800X.

According to Twitter user @momomo_us, the upcoming Intel 11th Gen Rocket-Lake S and 12th Gen Alder Lake-S desktop processors now appear in the Intel’s Power Supply Unit Test Plans. Intel Rocket-Lake S is expected to be launched in early 2021 as already rumored before, while Intel Alder-Lake S is expected in sometime of 2022.
