The upcoming Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake-S desktop processor now already goes on sale at Chinese second hand market GooFish. Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake-S desktop processors are expected to be officially released in September to October 2022.
SiSoftware has just posted a performance preview of upcoming Intel Core i9-13900. Intel Core i9-13900 is a 24-core processor with 8 Performance and 16 Efficient cores. According to the SiSoftware, this processor series is based on an updated Intel 7+ process technology, has 20% larger L3 cache and supports faster DDR5 memory up to 5600 MT/s (up from 4800 MT/s on Alder Lake).
According to latest rumors by known leaker ECSM_Official, the upcoming Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake desktop processors are expected to be officially launched in October 2022, same release date as upcoming Intel HEDT “Sapphire Rapids”. While the upcoming AMD Ryzen 7000 series “Raphael” desktop CPUs are expected to be released as early as in August 2022.
According to latest rumors from Moore’s Law is Dead, the upcoming Intel 13th Gen Core Raptor Lake-S desktop processors are rumored to be released in late Q3 of 2022, which means to be launched in September 2022. While the new 13th Gen Core Raptor Lake-H/HX/U mobile series should launch in the fourth quarter, along with next gen NVIDIA & AMD GPUs.
During the Investors Meeting 2022 event Intel demoed its first engineering sample of upcoming 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPU. This system was equipped with a 24 core and 32 thread processor utilizing the hybrid architecture of Performance and Efficient cores. The company confirmed that their upcoming consumer CPU will feature up to 8 Performance cores and 16 Efficient Cores, which means it will offer twice as many ‘small’ cores as Alder Lake.
Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake flagship desktop processor, the Core i9-13900K, has been spotted within the Ashes of The Singularity benchmark database. Intel Core i9-13900K will be the flagship with up to 24 cores (8+16) and 32 threads. The CPU will be based on an enhanced Intel 7 process node and is going to be powered by the latest Raptor Cove and Gracemont Enhanced cores.
AMD recently announced the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, it triples its on-die last-level cache using the 3D Vertical Cache technology, to level up to Intel’s “Alder Lake-S” processors in gaming, while using the existing “Zen 3” IP. According to PC enthusiast OneRaichu on Twitter, Intel’s next gen Raptor Lake-S desktop processors will also feature massive cache size increases, is rumored to feature 68 MB of “total cache”.
According to VideoCardZ, Biostar has just submitted Z790 and B760 motherboards to EEC. There is a new filing featuring Biostar Z790 Valkyrie, Z790 Racing GTA, and Z790-A Silver motherboards and some mid-range B760 motherboards. These motherboards are designed for next gen Raptor Lake-S desktop processors.
