In the last post, MLID said Intel will use LGA-2551 socket for Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake desktop processors, now it turns out this 2551-pin version could be a BGA variant for other series, but as leaked today, it will probably not be used for a desktop LGA socket. The 14th Gen Meteor Lake and 15th Gen Arrow Lake will use LGA-1851 socket.

Intel Announced Design of Alder Lake, Sapphire Rapids, Meteor Lake and Granite Rapids CPUs
Intel today has officially announced the design of next gens CPUs. According to Intel, Intel 7 node will be used for Alder Lake consumer CPUs and Sapphire Rapids data center processors. Intel Alder Lake will start shipping this year, while Sapphire Rapids will enter production in the first quarter of 2022.
Intel 7nm Meteor Lake Processor to be Launched in 2023
Intel today confirmed that its next-generation architecture codenamed “Meteor Lake” will have its design finished in the second quarter of 2021. Intel Meteor Lake is Intel’s first 7nm client architecture, which means it will launch for desktop and mobile users under the Intel Core series.
