Intel today has officially announced the 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S desktop processors. In a screenshot obtained by Geeknetic during Intel’s CES 2021 press, it seems that Intel Core i9-11900K can beat AMD Ryzen 9 5900X in a special game called Metro Exodus. The Core i9-11900K has 8-core & 16-thread, and Ryzen 9 5900X has 12-core & 24-thread.
According to Twitter user @TUM_APISAK, the Geekbench 5 scores of upcoming AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 9 5950X now leaked online. From the result, we can find that Ryzen 9 5900X’s singe core score is even better than Ryzen 9 5950X.
Today at 12pm ET, AMD will officially announce the upcoming Zen 3 CPUs. The Zen 3 CPU will be called Ryzen 5000 series, according to leaked screenshot above, for example, Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen 9 5900X, Ryzen 7 5800X, Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 3 5300X.
According to latest rumors by Yuri Bubliy, the upcoming AMD Ryzen 5000 series Zen 3 Vermeer Desktop processors will be launched in mid-late October. Ryzen 9 5900X & Ryzen 7 5800X will be firstly launched, release date expected on October 20th, 2020, while Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600X will be launched in a late date.

A source has just told us about some specs of upcoming AMD’s Zen 3 desktop processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X. According to source, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X will feature 12 cores and 24 threads, the boost speed is 5.0 GHz, and the TDP is 150W. As AMD already confirmed before, AMD Zen 3 Vermeer desktop processors will be announced on October 8th. Stay tuned.
