AMD has just announced that there will be a live event for the upcoming AMD Zen 3 processors on October 8th, 2020. The AMD Zen 3 may refer to Ryzen 4000 series or Ryzen 5000 series desktop processors, code name is “Vermeer“.
As already confirmed before, AMD may launch Ryzen 4000 “Vermeer” Zen 3 series desktop CPUs in late this year. According to latest rumors from Twitter user Yuri Bubliy, there could be 10-core models in Ryzen 4000 “Vermeer” series.
Here are more leaks about upcoming AMD Ryzen 4000 series ZEN 3 processors. According to Igor’sLAB, the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9 4950X will feature with 16-core and 32-thread, and with max boost speed at 4.9 GHz.
The AMD’s upcoming Vermeer processor series based on Zen 3 architecture are expected to be launched in later this year, to compete with upcoming Intel Rocket Lake-S processors. According to latest leaks from Igor’sLAB, a new AMD 16c/32t Vermeer engineering sample has the 4.8 GHz boost clock (48), and a 3.5 GHz base clock (35).
