AMD is preparing to launch several new desktop CPUs and APUs across its AM5 and AM4 platforms, targeting entry-level and mainstream market segments.
The flagship AM5 chips will be the Ryzen 8000G series featuring the latest Zen 4 architecture and RDNA 3 integrated graphics. The top Ryzen 7 8700G is expected to offer 8 cores, 16 threads, boost clocks up to 5.1GHz, 16MB L3 cache, Radeon 780M graphics, and 65W TDP for around $340. The 6-core Ryzen 5 8600G, Ryzen 5 8500G, and 4-core Ryzen 3 8300G will be priced from $190 to $240 with slightly lower specs. 35W “GE” variants are also planned.
