AMD released a video featuring John Taylor and Robert Hallock who sat down to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of the AMD Ryzen brand. In early 2022, AMD confirmed that they will launch 3D V-Cache Ryzen Zen 3+ CPUs.
According to Chiphell user, Intel is now expected to launch its W790 chipset for the high-end desktop (HEDT) series in the third quarter of 2022. There is no X699 chipset, which would launch alongside the Alder Lake series, but there is indeed a W790 (workstation) platform arriving at the same time as the 13th Gen Raptor Lake desktop series.
According to latest rumors, the upcoming AMD Zen 4 Raphael desktop CPUs will feature with improved temperature and power management. AMD Zen 4 Raphael desktop CPUs are expected to be released in the middle or late 2022, and for AM5 socket would allegedly support dual-channel DDR5 memory as well as PCIe Gen4.0.
According to latest rumors, the upcoming AMD Zen 4 codename “Raphael” Ryzen 7000 series desktop CPUs will be announced in September to October 2022, and release date in October to November 2022. Rumors also said there will be a Zen 3+ coming in late 2021 to early 2022.
Intel has revealed the 13th Gen Raptor Lake series codename on its official repository website. The 13th Gen Raptor Lake S desktop processors will be released in 2022, probably in the second half of 2022. Raptor Lake will be the successor of Alder Lake, which will be released at the end of this year.
