Rumors: AMD Upcoming X670 & B650 Motherboards to Only Support DDR5 Memory

According to latest rumors from Tom’s Hardware, the next-gen AMD Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors will only support DDR5 memory, which means upcoming high-end X670 motherboard and mid-range B650 motherboard will only support DDR5 memory.

This means that unlike Intel Alder Lake and its successor Raptor Lake, AMD Raphael Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 series will require a more cash commitment from new users, as DDR5 memory price is still more than twice as high as DDR4’s.
