Report: Intel to Outsource 180K 6nm Chips From TSMC and AMD to Double 7nm Orders to 200K

According to latest report at Chinatimes, Intel has already reached an agreement with TSMC wherein the latter will reserve a significant chunk of its upcoming 6nm capacity for the former.

According to Chinatimes, TSMC will begin mass production of Intel CPUs and/or GPUs next year. Intel will outsource 180K 6nm chips from TSMC in 2021. For 11th Gen Rocket Lake, Tiger Lake processors, and 12th Gen Alder Lake processors.

And AMD will battling for production capacity at TSMC, report said AMD will double their 7nm orders to 200K. From Zen 3 Ryzen 4000, Zen 4 Ryzen 5000 processors.
