Intel Core i9-13900 Raptor Lake ES CPU is 20% Faster than Alder Lake in Multi-threaded Tests

According to Expreview, they have tested the first Intel Core i9-13900 Raptor Lake engineering sample, the sample features 8 Performance cores and 16 Efficient cores. This sample features a total of 36 MB cache, an increase of 6MB compared to Core i9-12900K which has also been used for this comparison.

AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Release Date on September 15, Feature with 7950X, 7900X, 7800X, 7600X SKUs First

Twitter user @wxnod recently posted a picture that the upcoming AMD Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 series CPUs could be go on sale on September 15, 2022. This means the official release date is in Middle of September. And according to Twitter user Greymon55, AMD will launch 4 SKUs at first: Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7800X, Ryzen 5 7600X. The Ryzen 7 7700X will not launch at first as Ryzen 5000 series.

Intel “Sapphire Rapids” CPU Cooler Listed Online, While Release Date of New Xeon Series is Rumored Delayed to Q2 2023

According to Newegg website, the CPU cooler for LGA 4677 socket used by next-gen Xeon Scalable processors is already listed. The Dynatron S6 cooler listed for less than 50 USD is compatible with Sapphire Rapids CPUs rated up to 300W. While the release date for Sapphire Rapids CPUs are expected to be delayed until Q2 of 2023.

Intel 13th Gen Core i9-13900 “Raptor Lake” Processor Previewed at SiSoftware

SiSoftware has just posted a performance preview of upcoming Intel Core i9-13900. Intel Core i9-13900 is a 24-core processor with 8 Performance and 16 Efficient cores. According to the SiSoftware, this processor series is based on an updated Intel 7+ process technology, has 20% larger L3 cache and supports faster DDR5 memory up to 5600 MT/s (up from 4800 MT/s on Alder Lake).

AMD Unveiled CPU Roadmap: Zen 5 on 4nm/3nm Node to be Released in 2024

During the today’s AMD Financial Analyst Day AMD confirmed its plans for CPU architecture in the next few years. The upcoming Zen 4, Zen 4 V-Cache, Zen 4c based on 5nm/4nm will released later this year to early next year, and the Zen 5, Zen 5 V-Cache, Zen 5c based on 4nm/3nm will be released in 2024.

Update: Intel Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake Desktop CPUs will Use LGA-1851 Socket

In the last post, MLID said Intel will use LGA-2551 socket for Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake desktop processors, now it turns out this 2551-pin version could be a BGA variant for other series, but as leaked today, it will probably not be used for a desktop LGA socket. The 14th Gen Meteor Lake and 15th Gen Arrow Lake will use LGA-1851 socket.
