HP is preparing to launch new Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptops featuring Intel’s latest Meteor Lake “Core Ultra” CPUs. Pricing and specifications for these laptops have surfaced online ahead of their release.
The 14-inch Spectre x360 will have a 2.8K OLED touchscreen display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and 89.06% screen-to-body ratio. The laptops can convert between a traditional laptop and tablet mode. They will ship with a magnetically attachable stylus.
Intel’s upcoming Lunar Lake-MX lineup has surfaced in leaked slides, offering details on the new low-power chips. Lunar Lake-MX will replace Meteor Lake-U with TDPs between 8W and 30W. The lineup marks Intel’s transition to the ‘Xe2-LPG’ Battlemage architecture, featuring 8 Xe-Cores for graphics. This could bring major generational leaps in graphics compute versus Arc. Lunar Lake also brings the debut of the NPU 4.0, an AI-focused neural processing unit resulting from a collaboration between Intel and Microsoft.

Intel’s upcoming 14th generation Core i3-14100 desktop CPU has already found its way to consumers, months ahead of its expected release date. Samples of the budget 4-core, 8-thread Raptor Lake desktop chip are being sold on Chinese e-commerce site Goofish for around $118.

Intel is shaking up its TDP strategy with the upcoming launch of its Core Ultra “Meteor Lake-H” laptop processors. According to a recent report from Chinese leaker Golden Pig Upgrade, only the top-end Core Ultra 9 series will feature a 45W TDP, while the Core Ultra 5 and 7 series will be limited to 28W.
This is a departure from previous expectations that the Core Ultra series would include 45W, 35W, and 28W TDP options. The rumored Core Ultra P series with 28W TDP appears to have been scrapped entirely.

Intel is set to release its first laptops powered by the new Meteor Lake Core Ultra CPUs in the coming weeks. Retailers in the US have begun listing the MSI Prestige 16 and 13 models, giving us a first look at pricing and specifications.
The star of the show is Intel’s Core Ultra 7 155H processor, part of the Meteor Lake family. It features a 6+8+2 architecture with 6 high-performance Redwood Cove cores, 8 energy-efficient Crestmont cores, and 2 additional E-cores on the SOC tile. Clock speeds can reach up to 3.8GHz base and 4.8GHz boost within the 28-35W TDP range. The CPU also provides 24MB of L3 cache.

Intel recently unveiled performance details and projections for its upcoming 5th Gen Emerald Rapids and next-gen Granite Rapids Xeon server CPUs. Emerald Rapids will offer up to 64 cores based on the Raptor Cove architecture and 320MB of L3 cache. Intel claims Emerald Rapids will provide up to 40% better performance versus the current 4th Gen Sapphire Rapids with 56 cores. Specific workload tests showed 1.2-1.4x boosts in AI speech recognition, HPC performance, and media encoding versus Sapphire Rapids.

Intel’s upcoming Core i9-14900KS CPU has leaked, featuring the fastest clock speed ever for a consumer processor at 6.2 GHz. This special edition chip takes the crown as the fastest clocked consumer CPU available.
The leak comes from an Israeli retailer, PC-Online, who listed several prebuilt PCs featuring the unannounced Core i9-14900KS. While Intel hasn’t officially detailed the new CPU yet, it appears they informed partners and retailers who broke embargo by revealing key details early. Rumors back in May correctly predicted the 6.2 GHz boost clock of the 14900KS.

Intel is preparing to launch its 14th Gen Raptor Lake-HX Refresh lineup of laptop processors, led by the flagship Core i9-14900HX. Recently leaked benchmarks of this chip reveal it achieves the fastest single-core performance of any laptop CPU.
The i9-14900HX succeeds the i9-13900HX and features 24 cores (8+16), 32 threads, a 2.4 GHz base clock speed, and a maximum turbo boost up to 5.8 GHz. It also includes 36MB of L3 cache. The TDP is 55W base and 157W maximum turbo power.
