During the today’s AMD Financial Analyst Day AMD confirmed its plans for CPU architecture in the next few years. The upcoming Zen 4, Zen 4 V-Cache, Zen 4c based on 5nm/4nm will released later this year to early next year, and the Zen 5, Zen 5 V-Cache, Zen 5c based on 4nm/3nm will be released in 2024.
Mark Pepermaster also confirmed that Zen 4 architecture has IPC between 8% to 10%, while offering over 15%. The new architecture offer over 25% better performance per watt and 35% overall performance improvement over Zen 3 architecture. This claim is based on Cinebench benchmark.
