AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Claims the First Place in Passmark Single-thread Benchmark

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is the upcoming Zen 3 desktop processor featuring 6 cores and 12 threads. According to PassMark has updated its webpage with CPU Mark results, the Ryzen 5 5600X took the first place in Passmark singe-thread benchmark.

The Ryzen 5 5600X scored 3495 points, while the top 10th Gen Core ‘Comet Lake-S’ CPU – the i9-10900K – scored 3177 points, meaning that the mid-range Ryzen CPU offers 10% better performance.

Compared to Ryzen 5 3600XT, the updated Zen 2 CPU from the still current-gen series scored 2833 points. This means that the Zen 3 successor is nearly 23% faster.

Ryzen 5 5600X will be officially released on November 5th, 2020, with a price tag at $299.
